    Dr. D has been practicing orthodontics for nearly 30 years. She began her career in Italy, working at the University of Bologna’s Dental School before moving to Minnesota. She completed her orthodontic specialty training and earned a Master of Science degree at the University of Minnesota. To this day, Dr. D remains committed to continuous learning, constantly expanding her expertise and enhancing the care provided within Minnesota Orthodontics.

After graduating from Minnehaha Academy, she moved out East to attend Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and was a member of the varsity women’s basketball team, achieving All-Ivy honors.

    Dr. Larson is a highly accomplished orthodontist, holding an impressive array of credentials and experiences. She completed her D.D.S. degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where she not only graduated at the top of her class but was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Her academic journey continued at the same university, where she completed her residency and earned both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry degree. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Larson enjoys a fulfilling personal life with her husband, Kevin, and their three children, Owen, Ellie, and Jack. Her hobbies encompass traveling, cooking, spending time at the lake, and watching sports. Dr. Larson’s passion for orthodontics shines through in her work at Minnesota Orthodontics, where she is dedicated to transforming smiles and ensuring that orthodontic treatment is a fun and enjoyable experience for her patients and staff alike.

  • Dr. Amelia Volkert

    She was a clinical dental assistant at Minnesota Orthodontics, before going on to dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy. She then attended the University of Minnesota for residency where she earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry degree. Her favorite part of orthodontics is seeing the transformation in patients both their smiles, and their personalities. She enjoys getting to know the families in her clinics and being part of the local community. Outside of work, Dr. Mia enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs-Riley and Ollie. Her hobbies include competitive powerlifting, reading, traveling (Italy has been her favorite so far!) , and spending time outdoors on her farm. Dr. Volkert loves being part of the amazing team at Minnesota Orthodontics and working with patients to give them a smile they love.

  • Dr. Ben Hostetter

    Although Dr. Ben went to high school in Colorado his favorite trip was going to Grandma’s house in International Falls for camping, fishing, and hunting. He attended Creighton University where he met his wife Aubrey while she was in nursing school. He earned his BSBA in Human Resources Management and continued to Creighton Dental School. He spent two years on active duty in the United States Army and also earned his Advanced Education in General Dentistry Degree providing dental care to soldiers in South Carolina. He proceeded to complete his orthodontic training at Roseman University in Henderson Nevada. Dr. Ben and his team are not just dedicated to quality care but also to getting to know the community they serve. Please stop by, even years after treatment, just to say Hi! Dr. Ben loves to keep up with his patients to see where you have been and what you’ve been doing! Outside the office, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Aubrey, and daughters, Malia and Emmy, visiting family across the county, spending time at the lake and enjoying a hot fresh donut.
